Advantage Mentoring is a national organisation that connects the NHS and professional football club community organisations to provide impactful healthcare solutions. They are specialists in partnering two community assets and anchor institutions - the NHS and CCOs. Through their comprehensive network of CCOs and NHS stakeholders, they foster and manage long-term collaborative partnerships which helps the West Ham United Foundation to deliver preventative and accessible programmes.
At the West Ham United Foundation, we deliver the programme in Barking & Dagenham, Newham, Havering and Tower Hamlets in partnership with East London NHS Foundation Trust and North East London NHS Foundation Trust.
The programme has been designed to increase access to NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, help tackle waiting times and reduce health inequalities by providing weekly 1-2-1 mentoring support for young people aged 11-21 with mild-moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing support needs. Sessions support young people by using a goals-based approach with an aim to improve life opportunities and overall wellbeing. For more information please visit www.advantagementoring.co.uk
